ABOUT US
Evamor Africa is a youth led and youth serving non-governmental environmental organization registered in the year 2018. The organisation has found footing in addressing mobility challenges and environment degradation.
The organization is run and managed by a team of young environmental enthusiast with backgrounds cutting across the environmental sphere,Sustainable transport, agriculture and community development that breeds a fertile ground for designing multidisciplinary and multi-contextual interventions.
The organization works within the Lake region basin of Kenya with current intensive work in Kisumu which harbors the organization’s offices. Motivated by the vast natural resources and Kisumu position in the lake basin region, the organization’s objectives are anchored on the need to protect the vast basin’s natural resources and promote sutainable city and communities as envisoned in the UN SDG 11.
Rationale
The organization rides on the rational that nature and human beings can coexist cohesively and sustainably without jeopardizing ability of nature to serve current and future dependent regimes. However, with this lens, the organizational fundamental principles peg on the ideology that human beings can only conserve nature by understanding the economic and social values that accompany the conservation efforts a link that is always obscure in the conservation and sustainable use sphere. With this backdrop of rationalization.
The organization aims to designs programs that not only address the conservation gaps and degradation challenges but also enable human beings to appreciate the economical role of natural resources through identifying their natural capital by natural capital accounting methodologies. Using robust community engagement approaches, the organization believes that a people driven approach comprising of a hybrid of indigenous and technical knowledge to address environmental challenges and community resilience building cannot be overemphasized in the wake of climate change at local and global scale.

Through vigorous, practical and consultative community outreach programs, the organization hopes to play a pivotal role in changing perceptions, generating evidence-based interventions and building community resilience.

Caring for the Earth one project at a time
Evamor Africa is a youth led and driven organisation domiciled in the Kenya Lake basin region with its headquarter in Kisumu city within the county.
The organisation boasts of a team of young environmental enthusiast and community development experts with vast knowledge, interest and network in the target communities of the lake basin region. In its objective, the organisation leverages on vast youth networks to champion for responsive climate change actions initiated and driven by grassroot communities.
The organisation believes that climate responsiveness is only attainable if the young and energetic population is engaged more deliberately and strategically.
Evamor Africa believes in the thought that to halt degradation as a result of anthropogenic causes, concerted efforts need to materialise therefore hinging its interventions through engaging and partnering with government departments, CSOs, youth groups and community networks in the lake region bloc counties to address global warming and environmental injustices.
