These resources have formed the basis of our ecotourism initiative with an effort to have the communities harness their economic and social potential leading to the broader community development dimension as they conserve and preserve these pristine resources for livelihood options.
Realising the potential for rural communities to fend for their needs is paramount to fostering resilience and sustainability in the wake of changing weather patterns that can no longer support conventional farming. Evamor Africa is exploring the vast natural resource potential in Akingli village in Kisumu West sub county bordering Nyahera hills to realise the tourism potential of these resources bestowed to Akingli community.

The community boasts of ancient caves, magnificent huge rocks, hills and families of chimpanzees that not only provide stunning sceneries but also describes the rich history and wealth of ancient lives that occupied these landscapes. The organisation is striving to help this community design and package tourism activities as products for local and foreign tourists.

The proceeds of these products are to be recouped back to community groups for investing and bolstering community growth through non-rainfed agricultural practices like apiculture and poultry for women groups as income generating activities.
